What a roofer looks at
- Shingles that are missing, cracked, curling or worn
- Flashing around chimneys, vents, skylights and walls
- Gutters and the edge of the roof
- The attic: water stains, damp insulation and ventilation
- Soft or sagging spots
Ask for photos and a written summary, so you have a record.
